Reports To: Maintenance DirectorPosition Summary
The Entry-Level Maintenance Technician position is an opportunity to serve God and others through dependable, hands-on work that supports worship, learning, and spiritual growth. This role helps maintain safe, clean, and welcoming facilities for students, staff, families, and the congregation. The ideal candidate brings a servant’s heart, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn, understanding that even small tasks can have a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily maintenance and upkeep of church, school, and college facilities
Perform basic repairs and tasks such as painting, cleaning, light carpentry, simple plumbing, and changing light fixtures
Support preventative maintenance activities under the guidance of experienced technicians
Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and storage spaces as an act of good stewardship
Observe and follow all safety procedures and policies
Respond to maintenance requests promptly and respectfully
Serve staff, faculty, students, and church members with professionalism and kindness
Assist with groundskeeping, seasonal work, and snow or debris removal as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Previous maintenance or hands-on work experience helpful but not required
Basic familiarity with tools and willingness to learn new skills
Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
Strong reliability, positive attitude, and attention to detail
Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

This position helps create safe, functional, and welcoming spaces where students learn, faculty teach, families gather, and ministry flourishes. The ideal candidate views maintenance as a calling to steward God’s resources, serve with excellence, and make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities
Serve Calvary Tabernacle and its related entities by maintaining buildings and grounds that are safe, clean, and inviting
Perform skilled and preventative maintenance on classrooms, worship spaces, offices, dormitories, houses, and common areas
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting issues etc. with care and attention to detail
Respond to maintenance needs with a servant’s heart, professionalism, and respect for those using the facilities
Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces as an act of good stewardship
Work collaboratively with staff, faculty, students, and volunteers
Support emergency repairs and after-hours needs when required
Qualifications
Maintenance, or skilled trades experience preferred
Working knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
Ability to work independently while remaining responsive to the needs of a busy campus
Strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and a commitment to excellence
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
